| Holiday Party is a Winner! |
|
|
|
|
More than 125 members of all ages attended the Club's 2011 Holiday Party on Wednesday evening, December 9. In true BSC fashion, it was a member-sponsored event coordinated with hours of behind-the-scenes effort from Andreas Davi. Our youth players served as greeters and waitstaff. Bartenders included Cathy and Tim Shaw, Chris Chiappa and Tom Zaiss. Chef Todd Gill prepared an absolutely elegant four-course meal, and Club veterans remarked that the kitchen hadn't had such energy in years! Austin Middleton (U18) entertained on the piano during the cocktail and dinner hours, and Dave Hoover led the throng in traditional carols and contemporary holiday tunes. (Table #3 won the round of Jaegermeister in the "Twelve Days of Bavarian Christmas" contest.) President Cathy Shaw recapped the events of 2011, a pivotal year in the Clubs history, and presented a gift of appreciation to past-president Bob Monnat for his leadership. In turn, Bob presented a gift of appreciation to Guenther Behre for a lifetime of dedicated service to the Club. All in all, the evening was a joyous way to kick off the Holiday Season.

| Bavarian Majors Win 33rd League Title |
|
|
|
|
The Bavarian Majors team defeated the Croatian Eagles at Croatian Park 2-1 in over-time to claim their 33rd League title dating back to 1929. Billy Meier put the Bavarians ahead in the first half off of a corner kick goal.
Jason Willan pulled one back as the Bavarians were reduced to 10 players when Adam Skalecki was issued his marching papers. In over-time Neil Dombrowski provided more magic (scored an amazing goal in the 2009
National Title game). Neil saw the keeper off of his line and took a ball of the bounce from 40 yards out chipping the goalie for the go-ahead goal. The Bavarians then held on through the second overtime with Mark Yeandle filling in for the injured Matt Schmidt in goal.
The Majors League Title is the clubs fifth league title for the year, joining the U12, U13, U15, NPSL Teams, Congratulations.

| Bavarian NPSL vs Madison 56ers in Regular Season Finale |

Join Coach Davi and the Bavarian U23s in Madison this Saturday, July 19 for the NPSL regular season finale vs the 56ers. Kick off at 7 pm at Breese Stevens Field. Make a day of it in our State Capitol, and finish it off with a Blue Victory!

Bavarian U23s, the NPSL Midwest Conference champs, will take on the Milwaukee Wave in the Wave "Summer Soccer Showcase" on Wednesday, July 20. Kick off at 1 pm. Tickets are only $8. | U15 Bavarians - Regional Results - Day Four |
|
|
|
|
The Bavarian U15 team faced off against the Chicago Sockers in one of the region II semi-finals. After a scoreless half, the Sockers got on a the board from a long distance shot. The Bavarians pressed for an equalizer and not for a world class save in the last minute on a shot from Quinn English the game would have gone to overtime. Unfortunately, the scoreline stayed 0-1 for the Sockers. This brings to an end a great run for the U15 team, finishing the Spring season 21-1-1.
