5-22 The final bracket play game of the regional event truly was a learning experience for our boys. G-Force from Chicago came out and matched the 90 degree heat with their soccer technique and skill scoring three goals against the Bavarians in the first 15 minutes. The final score was 5-0.
The U13 Bavarian Team learned alot about themselves and what it will take to get to a regional final. The experience they have gained will be very helpful when they enter the Midwest Regional League in the Fall. Special thanks to all the parents who made the trip to Sioux Falls and helped out in countless ways.
5-21 The Bavarian U13 Team had a successful second day at regionals defeating Nebraska 2-0 on two first half goals by Jack Menard. The Bavarians had several great opportunities to increase their lead, but a few offside calls as well as posts kept the scoreline 2-0. They now face G-Force of Illinois tomorrow in their final bracket game of regionals. 5-20 The Bavarian U13 Team arrived safely in South Dakota after a 9 hour bus ride full of anticipation and excitement. Being placed in the Bracket of Death with powerhouse states Illinois and Michigan didn't deter their desire to be successful at their first time playing at regionals. Their first game was a big test against Michigan Wolves. The teams exchanged opportunities early and went into the half 0-0. Michigan came out determined to score the first goal only to have Quinn English (Bavarians) hit the post with 15 minutes to go. The Wolves finally broke through in the 87th minute on a well designed free-kick.
