7-24 The Bavarian Major Team defeated the Sonoma Sol of California 2-1 today in the National semi-final of the Open Cup. Neil Dombrowski opened the scoring in the first half off of a Nate Sabich cross that was flicked on by Kyle Zenoni. Sonoma evened the score five minutes into the second half. Chad Dombrowski scored off of a rebound from a laser shot that the keeper somehow saved by Neil Dombrowski in the 60th minute to seal the victory.
The Bavarians now play Emigrantes from Brockton Ma, on Sunday in the National Championship of the Open Cup.
